One of the eight Flower City Conspiracy members arrested Sept 6, 1970 for the Rochester draft-board and FBI-office raid. Convicted on all counts and sentenced to seventeen to twenty-two months. Later known as a writer.
The September 1, 1971 Sufferings roster places this prisoner at Alderson Federal Womens Reformatory, West Virginia and identifies affiliation with Abington Meeting, Pennsylvania. The roster confirms confinement at its reporting time without establishing an exact admission, transfer or release day, a new case, or a complete actual duration. Friends Journal describes Meyerding as a Philadelphia Quaker, Temple University student and National Merit Scholarship recipient. Its February 1971 trial report states that she had been sent to a minimum-security state institution in Niantic, Connecticut, rather than Alderson. It also reports that her late father had served two years for draft-law refusal during World War II, but does not name him.

Friends Journal’s November 15, 1971 prisoner report listed Meyerding as released after completing her sentence for destroying Selective Service records.
