Biography
Z. L. Risley was from Stanford, Texas. Z. L. Risley was president of the Texas Farmers and Laborers Protective Association (part of the Working Class Union). He was sentenced to six years in prison, which he served in Leavenworth Penitentiary from December 13, 1919, to August 1, 1922.
The March1922 official report lists Z. L. Risley in List1 of convicted prisoners or parolees. The government entry reports Conspiracy to overthrow Government. a sentence of October 18, 1917, 6 years at Leavenworth.. Imposed terms, projected term-expiration dates, parole eligibility and intervals on bond are different measures; none is entered as a complete actual custody total.
