Biography
A. M. Blumberg was from Kansas. A. M. Blumberg was convicted at the mass IWW trial in Wichita and sentenced to four years in prison. He served in Leavenworth Penitentiary from December 18, 1919, to June 17, 1921, when he was released on bond. He contracted tuberculosis while in prison.
The March 1920 One Big Union Monthly prisoner roster, under the printed name BLUMBERG , A. M., reports: Federal . Indicted Wichita , March 14 , 1918. Conspiracy. The March1922 official report lists A. M. Blumberg in List1 of convicted prisoners or parolees. The government entry reports Conspiracy and violating the espionage act, etc. a sentence of December 18, 1919, 4 years, Leavenworth, and to pay costs and stand committed until costs are paid.. Imposed terms, projected term-expiration dates, parole eligibility and intervals on bond are different measures; none is entered as a complete actual custody total.
