Biography
Stanley Nowak was a Detroit labor leader and former Michigan state senator. The federal government brought a civil denaturalization suit in 1953, alleging that he had concealed Communist Party affiliation when he became a citizen. The proceeding sought to revoke his citizenship; it did not result in arrest or confinement.
