Biography
Ronald Loomis was a leader of the New Britain, Connecticut Unemployed Council and had been the Communist candidate for mayor in the spring election. A November 3 dispatch printed in the November 4, 1932 Daily Worker, page 3, names him and Isaac Abraham as arrested that day at a City Hall demonstration for unemployment relief. The report attributes the arrests to Mayor Quigley, whose promise of aid after banning a benefit film the demonstrators were challenging. It does not give a formal charge, conviction, jail admission or physical release. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1932/v09-n264-NY-nov-04-1932-DW-LOC.pdf#page=3
