Biography
Joseph Paul Murray Jr. organized the American end of the 1984 Valhalla–Marita Ann arms shipment intended for the Irish Republican Army. On June 30, 1987, Judge Joseph Tauro sentenced him to five years for arms smuggling, concurrent with ten years for marijuana importation and two years for tax evasion. Exact arrest, prison-admission and release dates remain unverified; the ten-year term is not attributed solely to the arms shipment.
