Biography

Jack Doran is the printed name of a National Textile Workers Union organizer reported kidnapped with Anna Burlak at Seneca, South Carolina, in an International Labor Defense statement published in May 1930. The statement lists this abduction among recent attacks on Southern labor organizers. It establishes reported physical restraint connected with organizing, but does not identify the captors, give an exact abduction or release date, state a statutory charge, or measure the duration. This qualified profile is not identified with the earlier IWW prisoner J. T. Doran or the separately recorded L. Doran; the source supplies no reliable bridge between them.
