Biography

George Foster was identified as a class-war prisoner in a Connecticut International Labor Defense campaign reported in the January 7, 1932 Daily Worker. The report explicitly places him in Hartford County Jail, critically ill and allegedly refused medical attention. It documents ongoing physical confinement in a political-prisoner defense campaign, but does not identify a charge, arrest day, diagnosis, sentence or eventual release. Those limits remain unresolved rather than supplying a guessed term. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1932/v09-n006-NY-jan-07-1932-DW-LOC.pdf#page=1

Sources

The Connecticut ILD notice explicitly reports Foster’s release from Hartford County Jail before the February 19 issue, without an exact day. Its further phrase that this helped release Jackson, Powers and Bill Sroka is retained as printed; other sources document Powers still confined later in 1932, so the collective wording does not establish an exact personal release for those men.
