Biography
Florencio Romero was from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Florencio Romero began serving a prison sentence on May 6, 1918. He was sentenced to four years in prison for "attempting to form an anti-militarist league."
The presidential-clemency table in the 1921 Senate amnesty hearings records a sentence imposed March 28, 1918: Four years at Atlanta and a $200 fine. Commuted March 3, 1919 to expire April 1, 1919. A pardon, commutation, nominal expiration or parole eligibility is not itself evidence of the day of physical release; the imposed or reduced term is not a measured time served.
