Biography
Born Charles Stallings; took the New Afrikan name Chumaimari Fela Askadi. RNA citizen from Milwaukee, present at the Lewis Street raid. Convicted; served prison time within the 2-10 year range cited for the RNA-11.
Obadele first identifies Chumaimari Askadi and reports release after thirteen months in state custody; later in the same narrative he uses Chuma while describing a five-year federal sentence. The earlier biography’s generic two-to-ten-year range must not be treated as actual served time. A separate database profile called Chuma is retained for identity reconciliation rather than automatically merged. The narrative is a participant’s account of the RNA-11 prosecutions, and its political assessments are attributed to its author. Source: https://www.jstor.org/stable/41065737#page=2

Obadele’s contemporary account dates the raid and arrests to August 18, 1971. He reports thirteen months in state custody; the counter excludes later federal imprisonment.
The February 1979 RNA account reprinted in Breakthrough reports that Chuma had completed his separate five-year federal sentence. It supplies no exact final release or independently measured federal time served; the earlier thirteen-month state-custody subtotal remains distinct.
