Biography
Zachary Lange was one of five men indicted by a Multnomah County grand jury on August 30, 2019, following the August 17 demonstrations and counterdemonstrations in Portland. He was charged with felony riot, second-degree criminal mischief and first-degree theft. The announcement documents an indictment but does not say that Lange was arrested, booked or confined, and no custodial disposition has been established.

The district attorney's August 30, 2019 announcement establishes the indictment of Zachary Lange, age 21, but does not establish individual booking, confinement, disposition or release. A court handling a prosecution is not itself evidence of imprisonment. Those custody fields and an identifiable photograph remain unresolved.
