Biography

The CBP report identifies Tenefe-Perez as the passenger apprehended during immigration enforcement in Chicago on October 14, 2025. Agents alleged assault on federal officers under 18 USC 111. The individual form records CBP arrest and transfer for FBI processing, and the narrative says he was handcuffed and transported to the FBI office for investigation. The report later states that all five incident detainees were released by the FBI and were not being charged with assault; no individual release date or duration is given. The form inconsistently labels citizenship and immigration status, so those fields are left unresolved. The narrative varies the name order and gender references; neither inconsistency is resolved here. These are allegations and custody accounts in a CBP report filed as a civil-case exhibit on November 24, 2025, not judicial findings. The Illinois Accountability Commission’s April2026 investigation brief independently names the two men, identifies them as Venezuelan citizens, and says they had prior deportation orders but no criminal history. It found reasonable cause for further investigation of possible constitutional violations in the initial stop and of agents’ conduct. This is a commission determination calling for investigation, not a court judgment. It gives no individual release endpoint for these two men.
