Paul Ivery was arrested during a September 27, 2025 protest outside the Broadview ICE detention facility. His detention continued through a hearing until October 1; prosecutors dismissed the federal assault case on October 9.

Judge Fuentes’s November20,2025 Briggs opinion individually confirms that Ivery’s official detention following the September27 Broadview arrest continued through a detention hearing until conditional release October1. It separately dates dismissal of the felony Section111 complaint to October9. The court reports no need for a grand-jury presentation after that dismissal; a charge or detention hearing is not a conviction. The existing four-day physical interval remains unchanged, and October9 is not substituted as a custody endpoint.
