Biography
Shawn Collins was arrested in Philadelphia on June 2, 2020, during the citywide curfew that followed the George Floyd protests. Police responding to a report about an ATM found a loaded handgun in his waistband. Because of a prior felony conviction, he was charged federally with possessing a firearm as a felon. Collins later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Public reporting and contemporaneous prisoner-support records establish that he remained in federal custody while the case was pending, but the exact release date has not yet been established.
