Biography
Sandra Rich was a nineteen-year-old Chicago Panther detained after a police stop on June 8, 1969. Three months pregnant, she was injured in the police lockup and taken to Cook County Hospital under guard. Other members of the group were released on bond the next morning; Rich remained confined before supporters obtained her release and transfer to another hospital.
