Biography
Rudolph Peterson, a laborer from Yakima, Washington, was sentenced to three years in prison. He served in McNeil Island Penitentiary. According to the Department of Justice, Peterson was convicted because he was "sitting around... with his fellow workmen and, in the course of a discussion about liberty bonds, advised against their purchase. " Peterson went to trial within eighteen hours of his arrest andhadno time to obtain witnesses in his defense.
