Biography

Rose Rose was a California Cotton Mills strike picket in Oakland. The August 17, 1936 Western Worker, page 1, reports Rose Rose arrested near strike headquarters after a claim that someone had thrown a rock at a strikebreaker’s car. The report places Bell’s arrest on Wednesday and Rose’s on Thursday of the preceding week, August 12 and 13. It says the ILD was to seek bail for Rose from city jail; this plan does not prove release. No formal charge, conviction or completed custody total is reported.
