Biography
Jeff Kibre was a Hollywood studio worker and leader of the rank-and-file movement against the mob-linked leadership of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. Los Angeles police arrested him on suspicion of criminal syndicalism in 1939, citing political books found among his belongings. He brought a $250,000 false-arrest and libel suit.
