Biography

Robert Moore, called Bob Moore in the September 6 report, was arrested with fellow Santa Cruz Packing striker Paul Heide in Oakland in 1935. Railroad detectives accused them of tampering with a switch. The October 31 report says a jury acquitted both men of attempted train wrecking after two hours of deliberation and that they left the courthouse with fellow workers. The two hours describe jury deliberations, not jail time. Their exact arrest and release dates and any intervening bail gap are unknown.
