Reiji Taira, a gardener, is named by Yushi Yamazaki (2020), printed p. 103 and note 42, among Japanese labor activists arrested for union activities and deported between 1933 and 1935. The note cites Karl Yoneda's List of Deportees in the UCLA papers. The article does not identify the individual arrest or departure year within that range, a statutory charge, sentence or length of detention.
