Paul Maihak was convicted in the Kansas federal IWW prosecution and sentenced to three years on December 18, 1919. Senate Document 159 explicitly records his release on bond June 6, 1921. The precise arrest and admission dates remain unverified; sentencing is not substituted for prison entry.
The March1920 One Big Union Monthly roster prints Mahak, Paul in the Wichita federal IWW prosecution, gives the September24,1918 indictment, a December1919 conviction and three-year imposed sentence, and names Leavenworth Federal Prison. 1920s remaining-entry review: Senate Document 159 (1922), page 13. The report confirms bond release June 6, 1921 and identifies December 18, 1919 as sentencing, rather than documenting prison entry. The inherited admission field and exact duration calculated from sentencing are withdrawn. His existing photograph is retained.
The March1922 official report lists Paul Maihak in List1 of convicted prisoners or parolees. The government entry reports Conspiracy (espionage act). a sentence of December 18, 1919, 3 years at Leavenworth.. Imposed terms, projected term-expiration dates, parole eligibility and intervals on bond are different measures; none is entered as a complete actual custody total.
