Biography
Patricia Weiland, known as Paki Wieland, was a Northampton-area peace activist and CODEPINK organizer. She participated in the October 25, 2012 Hancock Field protest against drone warfare near Syracuse, New York. Acquitted of trespass but convicted of disorderly conduct, she received a fifteen-day sentence on February 7, 2014; her documented jail episode ended February 14, 2014. The earlier summary's 2013 sentencing year was incorrect.
Identified photograph review October 13, 2026: The original, unchanged photograph is from CODEPINK's memorial for Paki Wieland, image Paki-4.jpg. The Hancock defendants' trial announcement identifies Patricia Weiland of Northampton and also names her as Paki; her published family obituary independently identifies Paki Patricia Ann Wieland. This resolves the alias/spelling bridge without using photographs of unrelated namesakes. The summary's sentencing year is corrected to 2014, consistent with the contemporaneous sentencing announcement and the existing case dates.
