Biography

Nina Samorodin was a member of the National Woman’s Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage. (July 4, 1892 - November 28, 1981; later Nina Samorodin Ramuglia)

She was arrested on September 13, 1917 and sentenced to thirty days at the Occoquan Workhouse. Presumptive completion was around October 13, 1917; exact discharge documentation is unresolved.

Her surname was previously spelled Samarodin in this record; Samardin also appears in the sources.
