Biography
Elise T. Russian was a member of the National Woman's Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage. Doris Stevens recorded her term as: January 1919: five days; February 1919: eight days in Charles Street Jail.
Stevens records five days imposed for the January 1919 watchfire and eight days imposed for the February Boston demonstration. The source does not report thirteen days actually served. The summed nominal actual-day override is removed; existing historical dates remain preserved.
