Biography
Maud Jamison was a Virginia Silent Sentinel and one of the movement's longest-serving repeat prisoners. She was among the first six picketers jailed for three days in June 1917; sentenced in October 1917 to seven months but released after forty-four days; and served a further five-day term in January 1919.
Stevens explicitly reports four separate periods for Maud Jamison: three days in June 1917, a later thirty-day District Jail stay, release after forty-four days on the October seven-month sentence, and five days in January 1919. The total of eighty-two documented days is preserved across these distinct episodes; no single continuous eighty-two-day interval or new endpoints are inferred.
