Biography
Marcia Timmel was a longtime member of the Olive Branch / Dorothy Day Catholic Worker in Washington, DC, and one of the most active women in the early Plowshares movement. She participated in Plowshares Number Four (1982) and acted alone in the 1988 Credo Plowshares, where she hammered and poured blood on a Textron Defense System MX missile display at the Air Force Association Arms Bazaar at the Sheraton-Washington Hotel, leaving her own creed of life and faith in response to the bazaar's slogan "Freedom: A Creed To Believe In."
