Biography

Louis Miller was an IWW delegate arrested at Whitefish, Montana on a vagrancy accusation during the 1917 lumber-workers organizing campaign. The September 1917 International Socialist Review names him with organizer J. I. Turner and three strike or press committee members and reports their release after a two-day jury trial. The two days measure the trial, not the complete imprisonment. This Whitefish delegate is not identified with the later New York physician and Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee Committee prisoner of the same name. Exact custody dates and complete time served remain unknown. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/isr/v18n03-sep-1917-ISR-riaz-ocr.pdf#page=23
