Biography
Lafi Khalil, 25, foreign national, was indicted August 28, 1997 with co-defendant Gazi Ibrahim Abu Mezer for a plot to detonate pipe bombs in the NYC subway during rush hour. Acquitted on conspiracy/WMD count; convicted on immigration-related charges. 36 months federal prison.
