Biography
Kate Heffelfinger was a member of the National Woman's Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage. Doris Stevens recorded her term as: October 15, 1917: six-month sentence, with another month later added; August 1918: 15 days; January 1919: five days.
Stevens records six months imposed on October 15, 1917, another month added for an earlier offense, and later fifteen-day and five-day sentences. The passage never reports 180 days actually served; the existing override converts one nominal six-month term into days. The stored nominal-as-actual day override is removed; no unsupported admission or release endpoint is substituted.
