Biography
John T. Gojack was a vice-president of the United Electrical Workers and head of its District 9. He was prosecuted for refusing to answer questions from the House Un-American Activities Committee about his associations. His first conviction was reversed. A second conviction brought a nine-month sentence, but the judgment was stayed during appeal and the Supreme Court reversed it on June 13, 1966. He did not serve the sentence.
