John Shirey was a Working Class Union member from Oklahoma. John Shirey was sentenced to six years in prison. He served in Leavenworth Penitentiary from October 6, 1917, to November 16, 1920.
The March1922 official report lists John Shirey in List1 of convicted prisoners or parolees. The government entry reports Seditious conspiracy. a sentence of October 6, 1917, 6 years at Leavenworth. Commuted to 4 years by Pregident July 17, 1920.. Imposed terms, projected term-expiration dates, parole eligibility and intervals on bond are different measures; none is entered as a complete actual custody total.
