Biography

Joe Polsnot was a strike leader apprehended with Jim Hinds amid the Rockwood Hosiery Mill strike in Tennessee, over the dynamiting of the town water main. The May 17, 1936 dispatch attributes to Tennessee Federation of Labor officials the assertion that a labor-baiting detective agency arranged the frame-up. That assertion is not treated as an adjudicated finding. The scan prints Polsnot; no expanded given name, exact arrest day, verdict, sentence, individual jail placement or release is inferred.
