Biography

Jeremy Mott was a Quaker who resisted the Vietnam-era draft. After leaving alternative service, he was imprisoned for refusing further cooperation with the Selective Service System.

The Central Committee for Conscientious Objectors’ November–December 1968 News Notes lists Jeremy Mott among its current prisoners at Lewisburg. This contemporary roster corroborates actual confinement during the issue’s reporting period. It is a dated custody observation, not an admission, release, transfer date or measure of total time served.
