Biography
Jacob Jackson was prosecuted with his wife Genevieve after an August 1952 encounter in which New York City police severely beat him, causing a cerebral hemorrhage that required two brain operations. The couple accused the officers of brutality, but a court instead convicted the Jacksons of assaulting police. Surviving reports establish the conviction but have not established the sentence or any time served.
