Biography
Irma C. Otto chaired the New Hampshire Progressive Party. When questioned in January 1954 during the state attorney general’s anti-subversion investigation, she answered only her name and invoked Article 15 of the New Hampshire Bill of Rights. The attorney general threatened to seek a contempt finding if she continued to refuse, but the reviewed record does not establish an arrest, contempt commitment, or confinement.
