Biography

Henry Schoen was one of the named defendants arrested in the September14, 1931 San Francisco City Hall unemployment demonstration. The October18 dispatch reports Judge Fritz sentencing the defendants the previous day. The defense alleged restricted jury challenges, barred witnesses and pressure on a jury that initially disagreed. These are attributed contemporary defense allegations.
