Biography

Gerald Lefcourt was a defense attorney for the New York Panther21 defendants. A contemporary account of the Chicago conspiracy trial identifies him as one of two defense attorneys the judge locked up during proceedings and connects the jailing with pressure over defense representation. It supplies no precise jail admission, release, duration or individual judgment. The article’s political criticism remains attributed to its author.
