Biography
Father Fidelis Moscinski is a Franciscan Friar of the Renewal (CFR) from the Bronx, New York, a Catholic priest repeatedly jailed over the years for pro-life "rescue" actions blocking abortion-clinic entrances. In 2023 he received a six-month federal sentence for a FACE Act violation at a clinic in Hempstead, New York. He was among the 23 pro-life activists pardoned by President Trump on January 23, 2025.
An OSV News brief published in the July 9, 2023 issue of Today’s Catholic distinguishes two separate sentences: the six-month federal FACE Act sentence imposed June 27, 2023 for the Hempstead clinic obstruction, and a 90-day sentence imposed June 30, 2023 for another Long Island clinic protest. It also reports that although Moscinski had participated in Red Rose Rescue actions, the Hempstead action was undertaken independently. The brief does not establish whether the separate sentences ran together or consecutively, or give physical-custody endpoints.
