The July 23 Western Worker prints the July 12 San Diego report of a letter from eight Imperial Valley chain-gang prisoners asking the ILD to redirect their prison relief and cigarettes to maritime strikers. F. C. Macias is one of EIGHT separately printed signatures; Miguel N. Gutierrez and Mike Gutierrez Jr. are distinct lines. The source establishes actual prison-camp custody in the agricultural-strike cohort, but not personal admission, sentence, discharge or completed duration.
