Biography
Erminso Cuevas Cabrera (Mincho) was extradited from Colombia, tried, and convicted of FARC narcotics conspiracy; sentenced to 348 months federal prison plus 60 months supervised release.
Formal sentencing day confirmed
The original August 17, 2010 federal sentencing announcement, pages 1–2, states that Judge Thomas F. Hogan sentenced Erminso Cuevas Cabrera that day to twenty-nine years imprisonment. This supplies the missing formal sentencing date; the existing 348-month sentence is unchanged. The same source dates extradition to the United States September 19, 2007, which is a transfer rather than proof that earlier Colombian custody began then. Existing arrest, admission and release fields are unchanged. The source does not establish a new prison-release date or an uninterrupted international-custody duration.
Early custody and extradition-source limits
DOJ announcement: The March 22, 2006 Justice Department announcement, pages 1–3, states that Cuevas Cabrera, also called Mincho, was arrested by Colombian authorities in late 2004 and remained in Colombian custody at the time of the announcement. It distinguishes the March 1 indictment, its March 22 unsealing and a request for extradition from an actually executed extradition. The source therefore corroborates the existing 2004 arrest year but supplies no exact capture day or U.S. admission. Its allegations are not a conviction, and the later separately sourced sentence remains unchanged. Jose Benito Cabrera Cuevas, named as his brother, is a distinct person, not an additional alias.
