Biography

Elizabeth Nichols was an Agricultural and Cannery Workers Union delegate to the Paris women’s congress. Helen Luke’s August 29, 1934 Daily Worker column, citing Mother Bloor, reports that Nichols went to the congress directly after completing six months in jail, then returned to California to aid Caroline Decker and other imprisoned workers. The article does not identify the original charge, jail, exact admission or discharge day. The congress and newspaper dates are not substituted for prison endpoints.
