Biography

Edward Zabo, age 49, was a co-conspirator with John Ford and Joseph Mazzuchelli in the 1996 Long Island UFO Network plot to use radium against Suffolk County officials. Pleaded guilty to supplying radioactive materials; 12 months state prison.

Future sentencing and individual chronology kept separate

The January 1998 Skeptics UFO Newsletter identifies Edward Zabo as the Defense Department employee in the same radium prosecution, says he had pleaded guilty, and reports sentencing scheduled for early March. That was still a forecast in the January issue, not proof that sentencing actually occurred in March or that he was released then. John Ford’s possible 25–75-year penalty and Joseph Mazzuchelli’s three-to-nine-year sentence do not belong to Zabo. This report does not independently verify his stored June 10, 1997 intake, June 10, 1998 discharge, twelve-month term or 365-day total; those values are not silently removed or treated as established by this source. Exact personal custody endpoints remain an external corroboration lead, not an unread portion of this PDF.
