Biography
Dr. Caroline E. Spencer was a member of the National Woman's Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage. Doris Stevens recorded her term as: October 20, 1917: seven-month sentence; January 13, 1919: five days.
Stevens records a seven-month sentence after the October 20, 1917 arrest and a separate five-day sentence after the January 13, 1919 watchfire. It does not report 210 days actually served. The nominal seven-month-to-210-day actual override is removed.
