Biography
Carl J. Heldring is individually named in a notice from seamen’s lawyer S. T. Hogevoll as arrested while a striker on the President Hayes. The March 26, 1936 paper asks him to write because his case is ready for trial. This establishes an actual strike-related arrest but gives no exact arrest day, statutory charge, admission, result or complete duration. The adjacent notice about an unnamed Daisy Gray injury concerns a different person and is not assigned to Heldring. Source: https://archive.ilwu.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/19360326.pdf#page=6
