Biography

A Milwaukee unemployed-relief protest defendant printed only as Brown was one of six people arrested before the Fourteenth Street and Fond du Lac relief station. The July 29 dispatch in the July 30, 1932 Daily Worker reports that mass attendance at court that morning forced the release of Teschner, Brown and Kochan. The three other defendants faced a future August 12 trial; those prospective charges are not automatically assigned to the released three. No first name, exact personal arrest day, court verdict or measured detention duration is supplied.
