Biography
Bertha M. Jackson was born about 1876 and was a member of the National Woman’s Party and one of the "Silent Sentinels" imprisoned during the 1917-1919 campaign to picket the Wilson White House for woman suffrage. Her exact dates of birth and death are unresolved. (recorded more fully as Bertha Maude Rehbein Mather Jackson)
She was arrested on September 13, 1917 and sentenced to thirty days at the Occoquan Workhouse. Presumptive completion was around October 13, 1917, but no individual discharge record has been found.
