Sources and evidence limits

Exact calendar admission and release dates are unknown; the report is not dated to his release day.

Historical claims are attributed to the contemporary newspaper. No present-day custody status, demographic classification or precise date is inferred.

The October 25 dispatch describes a roofer earning $6 daily, arrested at home in July. It reports thirty-nine days held, release without trial, and participation with sixteen other prisoners in a hunger strike over jail food. His $5,150 damages suit is civil, not another criminal case. Exact custody endpoints unprinted.
