Biography

Ansel W. Lyman was an Oberlin student. Ansel W. Lyman was one of the twenty men committed to the Cuyahoga County Jail for the 1858 Oberlin–Wellington Rescue of the freedom-seeker John Price. He remained jailed from April 15 until the general release on July 6, 1859.
