Biography

Alvina Keeler defended herself in the prosecution of twenty-two Adohr Dairy milk-strike pickets in Los Angeles. The January 23, 1934 report says only four defendants were convicted, with the other eighteen found not guilty on all counts. Keeler and attorney Frankel argued that the arrests were intended to break the milk strike under the anti-picketing law. She is not among the four individually named convicted defendants. Exact arrest and physical discharge dates and complete custody length are unknown. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1934/v11-n021-jan-24-1934-DW-LOC.pdf#page=3
