Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu surrendered to authorities on June 26, 2025, after Louisiana State Police obtained a warrant. He faced charges of resisting an officer and disturbing the peace by interrupting a lawful assembly.
Nantambu was a performer in Kendrick Lamar’s February 9 halftime show at Caesars Superdome. He displayed a flag bearing messages about Gaza and Sudan, then ran across the field before security personnel stopped him.
Nantambu said he wanted to draw attention to the suffering of people in Gaza and Sudan.
The New Orleans Police Department detained Nantambu in the moments after the halftime show ended and released him without charges that night. He went home.
The NFL separately barred him from its stadiums and events.
